Come relax at this comfortable beach house nestled on a private island minutes from downtown Beaufort, South Carolina. This lovely home has ocean views and is just a brief walk out the front door to sand between your toes. Soak up the sun on the beautiful beach with lots of solitude, perfect for reading a good book under an umbrella or body surfing the waves. The back door looks out over a championship golf course. Use the club membership to play a round of golf or several. The house also has a heated, landscaped pool for year round use ($200/week to heat)! It is also equipped with lights for night swimming. Inside the house you will find 6+ bedrooms (the sixth bedroom can be partitioned from into two rooms with a partitioned door) and will sleep 16 in beds! Ideal for several families or a large group of friends. Make memories that will last a lifetime in the large living room that is open to the dining area and kitchen. There is plenty of seating for everyone from the oversized sectional sofa to the extra large dining table. There is another table for more eating space, a card game or puzzles. The kitchen looks into the living room making sure no one is left out of the conversation. And most importantly, don t miss the large front porch filled with rocking chairs for taking in a sunset and feeling a gentle breeze tickle your hair. Make sure not to miss the spectacular star show once the sun has gone to bed. Don t miss spending an afternoon in downtown Beaufort along the bay taking in the sights and wonderful coastal breeze. There are shops and restaurants to suit almost any taste. Make your memories every year at this perfect beach house that will so easily seem like your own beach home. We have recently expanded the back porch and screened it in to provide a relaxed area for parents to supervise their children in the pool, along with quick access to the pool for convenience. Front porch provides easy and carefree relaxation as you enjoy the ocean’s sights, sounds and cool breezes. Beach Access: The tides change from month to month and year to year on Fripp Island. Any information we provide on length of time available during high tides is subject to change. But, currently, there is beach all day at access #2. 796 marlin is situated right in the middle between 2 beach access points. So, for 796 Marlin, we recommend that you use the beach access to the south, but at the moment, you can use either access for 24 hour beach access. On Fripp Island, the beach access are built 1 for every 10 homes. So, all of the second row homes are no more than 5 houses (1 minute) walking distance to a beach access!!! Feed the deer right out of your hands, watch egrets gracefully land in the lagoons, observe osprey catch their prey in the ocean. Rate Description:  Please add 11% South Carolina Sales and Accommodations tax to daily and weekly rentals, plus a $75 reservation/damage waiver fee.
 
Fee Description:  DAILY rentals do NOT include departure cleaning (cost varies by size of home), Harbor Island car passes, and/or amenity cards for Fripp guests, if normally included in weekly rentals.
 
Driving Directions:  From the south: Take I-95 North, take S.C. exit 8 (Hwy 278/Beaufort/Hilton Head). Turn onto Hwy 278, toward Hilton Head/Beaufort. Travel approximately 4 miles and turn left at the sign for Beaufort. (If you pass the Wal-Mart, you missed the turn). Stay on this road until it dead-ends at Hwy 170. Turn left onto Hwy 170 and continue for about 11miles, cross the Broad River Bridge, and turn right onto Hwy 802 (the next right turn after the bridge at the BP Gas Station). Take this road for a couple of miles until it comes to an end and turn right to stay on the same hwy. Stay on Hwy 802 (you’ll cross over the bridge by Parris Island) until you come to a fairly major intersection with a CVS, a gas station, a Hardee’s, and an auto parts store. Turn right at this intersection. You will still be on Hwy 802. (You’ll know it’s the right turn because you’ll see signs for Fripp Island). At all times, follow the signs toward Fripp. You’ll cross another bridge over to Lady’s Island. After crossing the bridge, travel another mile or 2 and make a right hand turn onto Hwy 21. A video rental store and a Publix will be at this intersection. Go approx 15 miles on Hwy 21. Hwy 21 dead ends onto Fripp Island. After checking into the Guard Gate on Fripp, continue onto the Island. Turn left at the sign for Ocean Point. Turn right onto Marlin. Follow that road until you reach our house at 796 Marlin. From the north: Go I-95 South, take exit 33 (US-17 N) toward Charleston/Beaufort. Go approximately 8.5 miles and turn right onto US-21 S/Trask Pkwy. Follow US-21 S/Trask Pkwy for about 14 miles, then stay straight to go onto US-21 BR/Boundary St. Continue to follow US-21 BR (through downtown Beaufort), which becomes US-21. Continue another 17 miles until the road ends at Fripp Island.
