We have recently (April 2006) replaced all the carpet throughout the house and extended a deck around the house. This house was also recently updated top-to-bottom (December 2004). Each room has been beautifully redecorated to remind you that you are on vacation. The spacious kitchen has been well equipped with the cook in mind and includes new appliances and an eating area with seating for 12. The large open living area includes two seating areas, a small wet bar, and multiple skylights and windows. With four bedrooms plus a loft that sleeps two, this great floor plan comfortably sleeps 11. The generous master bedroom suite includes a private balcony where you can catch a glimpse of the ocean and a spacious bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. For those who prefer to relax indoors, each bedroom includes its own TV with DVD or VCR. Enjoy the ocean breeze on the deck or screened-in porch.
For those who do not have the luxury to leave all their work behind, we aim to please with free long distance in the US and Canada (as well as wireless high-speed internet access). Rate Description: Please add 11% South Carolina Sales and Accommodations tax to daily and weekly rentals, plus a $75 reservation/damage waiver fee.
Fee Description: DAILY rentals do NOT include departure cleaning (cost varies by size of home), Harbor Island car passes, and/or amenity cards for Fripp guests, if normally included in weekly rentals.
Driving Directions: From the south: Take I-95 North, take S.C. exit 8 (Hwy 278/Beaufort/Hilton Head). Turn onto Hwy 278, toward Hilton Head/Beaufort. Travel approximately 4 miles and turn left at the sign for Beaufort. (If you pass the Wal-Mart, you missed the turn). Stay on this road until it dead-ends at Hwy 170. Turn left onto Hwy 170 and continue for about 11miles, cross the Broad River Bridge, and turn right onto Hwy 802 (the next right turn after the bridge at the BP Gas Station). Take this road for a couple of miles until it comes to an end and turn right to stay on the same hwy. Stay on Hwy 802 (you’ll cross over the bridge by Parris Island) until you come to a fairly major intersection with a CVS, a gas station, a Hardee’s, and an auto parts store. Turn right at this intersection. You will still be on Hwy 802. (You’ll know it’s the right turn because you’ll see signs for Fripp Island). At all times, follow the signs toward Fripp. You’ll cross another bridge over to Lady’s Island. After crossing the bridge, travel another mile or 2 and make a right hand turn onto Hwy 21. A video rental store and a Publix will be at this intersection. Go approx 15 miles on Hwy 21. Continue on to the Fripp Island Security Gate. Once through the gate continue straight. Turn left onto Swordfish about 1mile. Go straight across Dolphin and we are the first driveway on your right. We are on the corner of Swordfish and Dolphin.
From the north: Go I-95 South, take exit 33 (US-17 N) toward Charleston/Beaufort. Go approximately 8.5 miles and turn right onto US-21 S/Trask Pkwy. Follow US-21 S/Trask Pkwy for about 14 miles, and then stay straight to go onto US-21 BR/Boundary St. Continue to follow US-21 BR (through downtown Beaufort), which becomes US-21. Continue another 17 miles. Continue on to the Fripp Island Security Gate. Once through the gate continue straight. Turn left onto Swordfish.
