| Beautiful Nantucket style home located beach front. As wonderful inside as it is out, this home is the perfect place to have your getaway!
You enter the house through an arbor covered with Carolina Jasmine. The entrance hall leads to the great room and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. For chilly days and nights there is a working fireplace. Downstairs also features a large well-equipped kitchen with breakfast area and ocean view. A small library with wet bar and icemaker is the perfect place to watch TV or read a book.
Two large bedrooms are located downstairs. Each has a private bathroom. The front bedroom has a Queen size bed and opens onto the deck oceanfront. The second bedroom has twin beds with views of the ocean from the side windows.
Upstairs there is a sitting area for TV and DVD watching. There is also a game table, located in a dormer window area, that is perfect for playing games or working jigsaw puzzles.
The master bedroom has ocean views on two sides and a private balcony with spectacular views of the dunes, beach and ocean. The large master bath has double lavatories, separate shower and large jacuzzi tub. There is a king size bed. Both upstairs bedrooms have window seats with an ocean view. The second bedroom has a twin and double bed. It also has its own bathroom with access in the hall.
This home has been decorated with antiques and wonderful art. The downstairs features brick floors in the main rooms, old heart pine flooring in the large kitchen, and painted floors throughout the rest of the house. No worrying about carpet.
There are decks on three sides of this house. There is also a lookout with benches nestled in the dunes at the end of the boardwalk leading to the beach. |

Rate Description: Please add 11% South Carolina Sales and Accommodations tax to daily and weekly rentals, plus a $75 reservation/damage waiver fee.
Fee Description: DAILY rentals do NOT include departure cleaning (cost varies by size of home), Harbor Island car passes, and/or amenity cards for Fripp guests, if normally included in weekly rentals.
Driving Directions: From the south: Take I-95 North, take S.C. exit 8 (Hwy 278/Beaufort/Hilton Head). Turn onto Hwy 278, toward Hilton Head/Beaufort. Travel approximately 4 miles and turn left at the sign for Beaufort. (If you pass the Wal-Mart, you missed the turn). Stay on this road until it dead-ends at Hwy 170. Turn left onto Hwy 170 and continue for about 11miles, cross the Broad River Bridge, and turn right onto Hwy 802 (the next right turn after the bridge at the BP Gas Station). Take this road for a couple of miles until it comes to an end and turn right to stay on the same hwy. Stay on Hwy 802 (you’ll cross over the bridge by Parris Island) until you come to a fairly major intersection with a CVS, a gas station, a Hardee’s, and an auto parts store. Turn right at this intersection. You will still be on Hwy 802. (You’ll know it’s the right turn because you’ll see signs for Fripp Island). At all times, follow the signs toward Fripp. You’ll cross another bridge over to Lady’s Island. After crossing the bridge, travel another mile or 2 and make a right hand turn onto Hwy 21. A video rental store and a Publix will be at this intersection. Go approx 15 miles on Hwy 21. Hwy 21 dead ends onto Fripp Island. After checking into the Guard Gate on Fripp, continue onto the Island. Turn left at the sign for Ocean Point. Turn right onto Marlin. Follow that road until you reach our house at 769 Marlin.
From the north: Go I-95 South, take exit 33 (US-17 N) toward Charleston/Beaufort. Go approximately 8.5 miles and turn right onto US-21 S/Trask Pkwy. Follow US-21 S/Trask Pkwy for about 14 miles, then stay straight to go onto US-21 BR/Boundary St. Continue to follow US-21 BR (through downtown Beaufort), which becomes US-21. Continue another 17 miles until the road ends at Fripp Island.
Minimum Rental Period (Days): Typically 7 nights during the summer and 3 nights during the off season.
